About
A community I wanted to exist.
I started the White-Hat Security Community in February 2025 because the conversations I left thinking about, at every conference and meetup I went to, were the small ones. Two or three people, coffee in hand, going somewhere specific together. I wanted more of those, on purpose, without needing a conference around them. WSC is built entirely around that.
Once a month, we get together at Deville Coffee in Vancouver. Everyone shows up as a peer: first names, real conversation, whatever the room makes of the topic. Anyone working in or around cyber security is welcome: defenders, builders, students, founders, the curious. Bring a question, an opinion, or just yourself.
We pick a topic ahead of time so there's a shared starting point. After the first ten minutes, the room takes it wherever it wants to go. The best chats end with people exchanging numbers because they want to keep arguing.
Michael co-hosts with me. If you want to co-host a chat, suggest a topic, or just figure out whether you'd fit in, reach out on LinkedIn.
